What we achieved in one year with our member organizations and allies.
Changing the island, generation after generation.
We work with the education system to foster a culture of empathy, compassion and respect for animals in Puerto Rico.
LivingKind delivered Humane Education workshops to teachers, who will bring the program to nearly 117,000 students. The Animal Welfare Institute (AWI) donated 2,000 books to support the initiative.
In addition, FePA will award scholarships to selected teachers to become certified Humane Education Specialists, expanding the program’s reach.

The legal voice for animals.
FePA is advancing a bill that would create the Animal Protection and Welfare Division. The bill seeks to close the institutional gaps that limit enforcement of Law 154-2008 and to establish an integrated, structured strategy for every effort, including a significant reduction in abandoned and stray animals.
As a recognized source of information on animal-related issues in Puerto Rico, FePA publicly demands integrated, coherent, and consistent systemic change.

FePA is one of the founding organizations of Red LAPA, the Latin American Network for Animal Protection, an alliance of 52 organizations across Latin America working for animal welfare and protection.
